Of the states that can be applied to your ship or an opponent’s ship, Hull Breach stands out for the damage bonuses it applies. When your opponent has Hull Breach, your ships receive bonuses for critical percentage and damage.

The three primary officers that produce Hull Breach are:
B’Elanna Torres
Torres is relatively ineffective until Tier 4, where she can reliably be used to replace Lorca vs. hostiles and armadas. At Tier 5 she is the prime officer choice for Hull Breach against hostiles and armadas. Torres can be sourced in Artifacts/Complex Nanotech claim, Ex-Borg officer exchange, and Augment faction
Lorca
Lorca can be gained through the Discovery refinery (with the Section31 refit), or through transporter patterns, and is versatile for use against hostiles, armadas, and in PvP.
Gorkon
General purpose. Gorkon is often the first you’ll unlock, but also has the least potential among the three.
