Same game. Smarter plays. Happier humans.

YOUR WEEKLY INTELLIGENCE BRIEFING

TOP BARK — OPERATION: SUGR

SUGR spy Dawg in tuxedo, with starships and a planet

Something suspicious is happening inside SUGR headquarters.

Operatives are returning from deep cover. Command positions have been confirmed. A mysterious outbreak of button-pressing has struck the fleet. Our diplomatic landscape has shifted. And somebody has apparently been drinking Dos Equis in formalwear.

Fortunately, our intelligence division has assembled a complete report.

Unfortunately, our intelligence division is three Dawgs in a trench coat.

Welcome to Issue 007. Your mission begins now.

LICENSE TO PRESS • OPERATIVE PROMOTION

THE CHAIN S. INCIDENT

THE CHAIN S. INCIDENT illustration

ChainS has done it again.

In what investigators are calling a completely predictable outbreak of button-pressings, ChainS has officially reached Operations 61!

Was the button red? Was it labeled DO NOT TOUCH? Did anyone attempt to intervene?

These questions remain unanswered.

What we do know is that another SUGR Dawg has reached a major milestone.

Congratulations, ChainS! May your upgrades be plentiful and your impulse control remain gloriously questionable.

OPERATIVE PROMOTION • DOUBLE TROUBLE

DØC SKIPS A GRADE. OR TWO.

Apparently, Ops 45 was merely a formality.

Døc made the jump from Ops 44 to Ops 46! Two levels, one impressive leap, and presumably a suspicious number of resources disappearing from inventory.

Congratulations, Døc! The intelligence division would like to know what happened to Ops 45, but we're afraid to ask.

RETURNING OPERATIVE • CLEARANCE RESTORED

KERIC RETURNS FROM DEEP COVER

KERIC RETURNS FROM DEEP COVER illustration

After a hiatus from the game, Keric has returned to the Pack!

His whereabouts during this classified absence remain a matter of absolutely no concern to our intelligence division.

We're just glad he's back.

Welcome home, Keric! Your clearance has been restored. Your tacos may have been eaten.

RETURNING AGENTS • MISSION COMPLETE

THE TRAVELING DAWGS HAVE LANDED

THE TRAVELING DAWGS HAVE LANDED illustration

Aga and B are home from their summer travels!

After a season of adventures, exotic destinations, and presumably questionable decisions involving airport food, our wandering operatives have returned to headquarters.

Welcome home, you two! We hope the adventures were fantastic and the laundry situation is survivable.

The Commodores are confirmed, and SUGR Command is ready for its next chapter.

Congrats, fellas — and thanks for stepping up and helping keep this wonderfully chaotic Pack moving forward!

Meanwhile, Sass has been hard at work updating our alliance charter. The revised version should be ready for discussion soon, with an alliance vote to follow.

COMMANDERS COUNCIL

YOUR PACK NEEDS YOU

Interested in helping lead SUGR? We’re looking for Dawgs willing to volunteer for our Commanders Council.

If you’ve got ideas, a little time, and a desire to help shape the Pack’s future, we’d love to have you involved.

Secret-agent experience not required. Ability to tolerate our nonsense strongly preferred.

MSA ALLIED STATUS ENDS

DIPLOMATIC INTELLIGENCE — STATUS: CAUTION

DIPLOMATIC INTELLIGENCE — STATUS: CAUTION illustration

MSA has informed SUGR and LIT that they're ending our allied status.

As a result, MSA is now set to CAUTION, with UPC and armada protections only.

We should be prepared for the possibility of additional aggression, but there's no need to go looking for trouble.

A few things worth remembering:

  • Don't feed the trolls. Not every provocation deserves a response.
  • Keep it respectful. If you choose to engage, disagreements are one thing; personal disrespect is another.
  • Honor the protections that remain. Follow our diplomatic expectations and keep Command informed when something needs attention.

We can stand our ground without losing our standards.

Stay sharp, Dawgs. Professional spies don't start bar fights in the middle of a surveillance operation.

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED, DAWGS!

THE SWEET SPOT — AGENT OF THE WEEK: YOU

THE SWEET SPOT — AGENT OF THE WEEK: YOU illustration

This week's Sweet Spot goes to every single SUGR Dawg who participated in the Alliance Tournament!

Every contribution helped us maintain our place in the Master League for the next Tournament run and earn loot to spend in the Tournament Store.

Not everybody has the same ships, resources, or time to play. But showing up and contributing what you can makes a difference.

This wasn't one person's victory. It was a team effort.

Congratulations, Dawgs. You earned this one together.

Your reward: loot, bragging rights, and the knowledge that our intelligence department considers you all highly suspicious.

THE MOST INTERESTING MON IN THE WORLD

CLASSIFIED DOSSIER 007 // THE MON, THE MYTH, THE LEGEND

CLASSIFIED DOSSIER 007 // THE MON, THE MYTH, THE LEGEND illustration

Some operatives operate in the shadows. Others walk into the room wearing a suit, holding a Dos Equis, and immediately become the most interesting man in the world.

This week, Mon chose the latter.

Our intelligence division has obtained photographic evidence. We have reviewed it. We have no further questions.

He doesn't always drink beer. But when he does, apparently the entire alliance hears about it.

Stay interesting, Mon.

UNEXPLAINED PHENOMENA • HALLOWEEN INTELLIGENCE

STRANGE NAMES APPEAR IN ALLIANCE CHAT

STRANGE NAMES APPEAR IN ALLIANCE CHAT illustration

Suspiciously spooky names have begun appearing in AC.

Whether this is a coordinated Halloween operation or evidence that our Dawgs are slowly becoming cryptids remains under investigation.

Our agents have been instructed to remain vigilant, maintain their cover identities, and avoid making direct eye contact with any possessed owls.

Stay spooky, Dawgs.

ANNUAL SUGR PUMPKIN CARVING CONTEST

OPERATION: JACK-O'-LANTERN

OPERATION: JACK-O'-LANTERN illustration

Attention, Dawgs! It's time to sharpen your carving tools, summon your questionable artistic abilities, and turn innocent pumpkins into seasonal masterpieces.

Our annual Pumpkin Carving Contest is back!

Carve something spooky, ridiculous, beautiful, or deeply concerning, and post your pumpkin pictures by Halloween, October 31!

The prize? Bragging rights. The most valuable currency in the SUGR economy, right after tacos.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it: carve the pumpkin. Photograph the evidence. Claim eternal glory.

THE MYSTERY DEEPENS. THE PATCH NOTES MULTIPLY.

AROUND THE GALAXY — DIVISION 12 OPENS THE FILES

AROUND THE GALAXY — DIVISION 12 OPENS THE FILES illustration

Scopely's Division 12 update arrived October 15 with a Halloween mystery aboard the U.S.S. Griffin, new officers, ship refits, and Battle Pass rewards.

Apparently, somebody at Scopely got the memo that Issue 007 was going undercover.

The big opportunities for Commanders:

  • Ship refits: Voyager, Excelsior, and Kelcie Mae owners can pursue specialized refits through limited-time events ending October 19.
  • Battle Pass officer: Completing the final milestone awards Suder for Ops 20–60 or WOK Leonard McCoy for Ops 61+.
  • New Epic officer: Villains Rose Harper arrives for Ops 61+, with abilities focused on Sigma Dilithium raiding and defensive benefits.
  • More choices: Borg Sphere sourcing and additional Battle Pass exchange opportunities are available, with some rewards tied to the Elite track.

Agent's advice: Check event requirements and rewards before reset. Free loot is considerably more enjoyable when you actually collect it.

TALKING TREK GOES UNDERCOVER

CREATOR CORNER — THE INTELLIGENCE HAS BEEN INTERCEPTED

CREATOR CORNER — THE INTELLIGENCE HAS BEEN INTERCEPTED illustration

The crew at Talking Trek: Star Trek Fleet Command released an October 15 episode examining Division 12, the new refits, Rose Harper, Battle Pass choices, and upcoming changes.

At roughly 56 minutes, it's a useful breakdown for Dawgs trying to figure out what deserves their attention this arc.

Our assessment: Worth a listen. Especially if your usual method of understanding patch notes is staring at them until they apologize.

THE FINAL BARK — MISSION: POSSIBLE

Another week, another collection of reasons this Pack is worth being part of.

We've welcomed back old friends, celebrated new Ops milestones, confirmed our Commodores, and taken steps toward the next chapter of alliance leadership.

We've also navigated changing diplomatic waters while holding onto something important: we decide how SUGR behaves, regardless of how anyone else chooses to behave.

And to every Dawg who helped us hold Master League, thank you. That's what showing up for each other looks like.

Now we've got pumpkins to carve, suspicious names to investigate, and at least one operative who should probably be kept away from the upgrade button.

Keep your shields up, your comms respectful, and your tacos somewhere the intelligence division can't find them.

Until next week, Dawgs.

The name's Bark. SUGR Bark.
